New on the blog: Johan Rijpma

I spoke to award-winning animator Johan Rijpma about his films, working process and artistic background here.

Edge of Frame Talks now online

In October Edge of Frame presented two online talks as part of Animate Projects’ Accelerate Sessions series, supported by Arts Council England’s Emergency Response Fund. The talks were hosted by Dr Lilly Husbands and featured artists Edwina Ashton, David Jacobs, Katerina Athanasopoulou, Amy Lockhart, Cheng-Hsu Chung and Wednesday Kim. Both talks are archived here along with some of the artists’ works.

Writing on animation

I wrote a text to accompany BAFTA winning artist and filmmaker Ian Gouldstone’s new solo exhibition ‘because because because because because‘, which is online at Sim Smith until 19th Dec.

Animator Chris Childs invited me to write some programme notes for his great animation selection Enter the Brainboxat the Barbican last month, which you can read here.
